Job Description:
As a Plumbing Apprentice at Red Beard Plumbing, you will work closely with our experienced team of professionals to learn the plumbing trade and assist in the provision of our comprehensive range of residential and commercial plumbing services. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop into a fully-qualified professional plumber.
Responsibilities:
– Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures.
– Work under the guidance of experienced plumbers to learn the practical aspects of the trade.
– Help diagnose problems with plumbing systems, create plans of action, and review them with supervising plumber.
– Handle tools and materials, cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure
– Assist in inspecting plumbing systems and identifying issues that need repair or replacement.
– Perform clean-up of job sites after work completion.
– Comply with all safety standards and regulations provided by the company and the government.
– Attend apprenticeship classes to gain comprehensive knowledge and meet licensing requirements.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent required.
– Strong interest in pursuing a career in the plumbing trade.
– Must be 18 years of age or older.
– Ability to handle physical workload, including lifting heavy items and working in various environmental conditions.
– Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
– Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
– Excellent problem-solving skills.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Previous experience or certification in plumbing is a plus but not necessary.
– Must have a good sense of humor.
